1. Sports are my life: You will for sure never see me not doing some kind of sport. I live for athletics. It's apart of who I am. Ever since I was little, I was kicking a ball or shooting hoops. And it was then when I fell in love. I played soccer for most of my life, but quit in 8th grade when I decided to tryout for volleyball. I also run track and did run cross country. In 5th grade, I started to play basketball on a school team as well. But it's my senior year and I've narrowed it down to 3 sports: Volleyball, Basketball, and Track. I've had some pretty good success in all of them too. I'm an All-American volleyball player along with being named a Miss Volleyball Candidate. In basketball, I was considered one of the most dominant players in the league. And in the spring, I am a 2x (hopefully 3x) state champion in the high jump and 4x4 relay, along with being all-state in the 800 and 4x8 relay. Next year, I'm going to Michigan State University on a track and field scholarship and I couldn't be more excited to be an athlete for at least four more years.
2. Sweatpants all day: If you look up the definition of a Tom Boy, you'll probably see a picture of me. I rarely look nice, and by nice I mean hair down and something other than sweatpants. It's usually only when I have to (game day, some academic dinner where it's probably frowned upon to wear sweatpants, a wedding, etc.). My outfits usually consists of sweatpants, long-sleeve t-shirts, athletic shorts, or a t-shirt. I don't care if I look like the worst one there, I'm comfy and that's all I care about. My most favorite brand is Nike, and any chance I get you will see my in some Nike. If you truly know me, then you probably know the best compliment you can give me is "you look really athletic today Charley". That's probably equivalent to another girl getting compliments about how pretty she is.
3. Party: No, it's not the partying you're thinking of. I have a different definition of a Friday or Saturday night that doesn't involve the usual high school activities. I don't mess with that kind of stuff, so I have my own fun. Have you ever heard of Ding-Dong Fishing? You probably haven't, but over the years it's gotten pretty popular. And yes...I did make it up. It's Ding-Dong-Ditching but you leave a fish. My best friend and I have had such good memories with this. It truly is so much fun. We've done it to multiple teachers, some we like some we hate. We've done it to Reagan Dishaw probably 20 times. It's a good way to have fun and stay out of trouble (besides that one time we got the cops called on us). So when you bring up the term Ding-Dong-Fishing, I think Charley Andrews will pop into peoples' mind
4. Family and Friends: Believe it or not, my friends and family come before my sports...I know, shocking. My parents are the most loving and supportive role models in my life. And although we joke around more then the usual family, we love each other deep down. I have an older brother, Jake, who currently goes to Western Michigan. Although we fought all the time, I still love him with all my heart and am proud of him for everything he's accomplished so far. We also have 5 dogs and 1 cat that are just as much family to me as my brother! Now my friends, they are something else. My best friend, Hannah, is truly the definition of a best friend. We have the best times together and we just get each other. My other close friends are awesome and we continue to have great times. I love them with all my heart. I truly have a great support system in my life and am very lucky for it.
